As a citizen of Israel/Middle East, I can tell that that there is MUCH passion in warfare. Too much. That said, I can totally relate to the quote you've given. Spending a day without holding my camera, makes my hands itch :)

I can see how that would be the case - we have plenty of it in the political, Taiwan-China relationship over here, even though war is never likely to break out.
