    Great shots. I particularly like the boots. Any idea what is mounted under the boots? There's something, looks like nailed pieces of wood, just in front of the heel. I've never seen that. Perhaps to make noise when marching?

    Thanks Jeffrey. I believe it's loose pieces of metal nailed together under the boot. It's purpose is definitely to make extra noise while marching.

    Thanks Josh. No real secrets here, not special filters. The correct exposure and careful RAW processing is all it took.
